His DAMN album debuted at #1 with the largest first-week sales numbers the year, and the project has since spent 16 consecutive weeks in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200.
DAMN was the best-selling album the first six months 2017, and it’s now certified double platinum.
Earlier this year, the Compton emcee also earned his first #1 Hot 100 single as a lead artist with “Humble.”
Lamar gave an extensive interview to Rolling Stone, and the 7-time Grammy Award winner spoke about his critically acclaimed LP.
He discussed the perception that his commercial success has made him a “Pop” artist.
In addition, K. Dot addressed not presenting very many lyrics about Donald Trump as well as his Element” line about “wack artists.”
