Fans Pusha T have been waiting for the rapper’s next album, King Push, for quite some time now and they may have to wait a little bit longer thanks to Kanye West.
According to a report from XXL, while performing at the Made In America festival over the Labor Day weekend, Pusha T gave his fans an update on his next project, revealing that he and Yeezy have created three versions the album.
“I’m gonna go ahead and let y’all know,” Pusha told the crowd. “I’ve done this album like three times, right. Kanye] come in, he pick all the beats and s—. Then he hears the beats and he scraps them and says ‘I can do better.’ He’s done that s— like three times.”
The My Name Is My Name rapper also hinted that he and Kanye worked on King Push during Yeezy’s Wyoming sessions earlier this year.
Pusha said, “These last few months, we’ve been locking in day for day, night for night, getting this album perfect for y’all. Just to take it a bit further — that’s the luxury — when you’re on your rap superhero s—, you get the luxury taking your time and being great. I’m gonna take my time and get this s— right for y’all.”
Announced in 2013, King Push has gone through a number delays. Since then, Pusha T has been named the president GOOD Music and released and released another album to hold fans over — King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude.
